STACK is a product using the waste over-runs from traditional offset litho printers.

When a job is litho printed the printers will print an extra amount at the beginning and at the end of the print run called 'overs'. These extras made sure the system settled down, colour flow is checked and used as a buffer between different jobs clearing excess ink from the rollers.

I collect these overs and stack them in a random order.  When the stack is guillotined to size, through the printed areas, amazing patterns are revealed. This block of patterned paper is then drilled and bolted together.

Using out of date printed work (financial reports, promotional material etc) is a way of carrying a corporate or pantone colour in a subtle manor into an area such as reception by integrating the coloured stack into a lamp base or table.

Stack items are made as bespoke pieces.
